I’m back with the second instalment of Polishing Off a Kit, featuring 3 layouts I created from the left over bits from my Scraptastic July kits.

If you haven’t heard already, Scraptastic Kit Club is celebrating their 3rd anniversary this weekend!

This post will share the second of my 3 extra layouts using the July kits.  This layout was inspired by Sherri Funk’s challenge to use Flair, cardstock stickers, and wood veneer on a layout:

Although I most often use patterned paper backgrounds, at this point I have to move towards cardstock backgrounds, as most of my patterned papers have been cut into.  For this layout I did have one last piece of uncut paper, but I used it as a border and cut out the middle part, as I knew I’d want to use it on my last layout.  I used a mask and some mist on the cardstock background to give it some interest.

I love the assortment of letter stickers included with the kits!

I journaled right on the background paper and added a teeny wood veneer heart

Stickers, brads, flair, and banners… this layout is almost entirely made of embellishments!

And here is the process video for this layout:

I’ll be back tomorrow morning with the third and final instalment, and another layout and process video using up my July kits.  In the meantime, head on over the the Scraptastic website and check out the challenges and games going on in the Forum.

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
