Shares of my 2012 Project Life
(in reverse chronological order)
In 2012, my first year of Project Life, I documented weekly double-page spreads, using Becky Higgins cards, and later, Studio Calico cards. I did weekly title cards, despite hating those evil titles. I ended up with 2 albums that captured the richness of our lives.
November spreads:
My set-up as of fall 2012

I love putting all these pretties together |
Mid to late May 2012
Project Life-in’ it in my scraproom |
Lots of scraps and found items on this spread |
I used Diptic (an iPhone app) to create this collage of nail photos |
Using up as much of the Bo Bunny Ad Lib collection as I can! It’s perfect for PL. |
Using the Design F page protector was so much fun!
Taking advantage of the pre-printed Cobalt journalling cards made this spread a breeze! |
Early May 2012
The Ad Lib Collection by BoBunny is perfect for PL.
I have lots of leftovers from the pieces I bought last summer. |
I love the colours of this spread… and all those yummy Sassafras letter stickers! |
This is a flip-up and pull-out journalling card.
I journalled inside about a difficult issue our family has been struggling with. |
April 2012
I created a series of journalling cards using Studio Calico stamps and Becky Higgins’ blank journalling cards |
School awards, pink woodgrain screen print, mix and match Thickers, Jack’s eye…
all in a week of documenting the everyday! |
My Fake double 3X4pocket (really a single 4X6 pocket with acetate holding the cards in place) |
Mid to Late March 2012
Studio Calico advertisement scraps abound in this week’s spread! |
These little Instax photos are perfect for PL! |
Late February to Early March 2012
Ok, so this photo is a little contrived, but we had fun contriving it!
(and making silly photos is part of our life, having a photo studio in the basement, and all!) |
Julie Balzer was bound to show up on these pages somewhere! |
Disney Edition (February 2012)
This video received a lot of attention… Becky Higgins herself tweeted it and posted it on her Facebook page! I am so thrilled that my QR code idea went over so well with scrapbookers! I see lots of people using it and putting their own spin on it. Such a fun way to add an interactive component to PL.
I created a card of Hits and Misses to remember the things to do and not do on our next Disney vacation |
Candy wrappers, labels, QR codes, and stickers |
QR codes give PL an interactive twist! |
I completed all 13 double-sided page protectors, and 10 inserts of various sizes in one weekend,
thanks to my Cobalt core kit. I added stickers, park brochure clippings, ticket stubs, etc. |
This insert is just 1/2 of a Design A page protector |
