On Saturday I finally got to play with my June Scraptastic kit (Carry On and the add-on), and let me just say, it was worth the wait!

This weekend I scrapped my poor youngest daughter’s week of sickness 🙁  It wasn’t a fun week, but it brought us together as a family, taking time off work, and putting other things aside to be there for her and for each other.  She was sick with a high fever for an entire week (the week before last) and we were pretty worried about her.  She was treated for a kidney infection, but different doctors ran different tests, and there is some question now about whether that was what it was… but she’s better now, and that’s all that matters.  Here’s my layout:

I have a feeling I’m going to get a lot of use from that “InstaLove” stamp…

I layered some of my favourite papers together, keeping away from the reds in the kit, due to the pink in the photo.  I was planning to use the grey back side of the large yellow chevron paper (from My Mind’s Eye) but I’m so glad I noticed the yellow side looked better.  I think it really makes the layers pop.

I misted the background cardstock with Mister Huey’s Seafoam and splattered in the same colour and white

I am loving these kits, especially the amount of embellishments you get!  If you want to check out the kits for yourself, head on over to Scraptasticclub.com.

Here is the process video of how it all came together:

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
