Woohoo for Wednesday (I lvoe my hump day)!  I’m on my lunch break here at work, and feeling much better after being sick for the past 2 days. Just a mild head cold but I don’t want spread those germs around the hospital. We have an exciting and busy weekend ahead of us. I’m supposed to be off on flex day Friday but I’m coming in for one appointment and to attend the Halloween party, so I’ll be off at 1pm and have the rest of the day to myself. Saturday we have a neighbourhood Halloween party to attend that starts at supper time, then we all go trick-or-treating together, and then we go back to our friends’ house for fireworks. We have a group of about 6 families who are friends in our neighbourhood whose kids are all around the same ages, so we all get together fairly often. It’s nice to have such a large group of friends all living so close by. In our other neighbourhood we really only connected with one other family (who moved to our new neighbourhood right after we did- so we’re still close to them, lol).

I really can’t wait to see what Halloween pics we get! I have paper and a layout already picked out! I might do a simple mini album too. What I’d love to do is make 6 copies of the same mini album- something fairly simple and durable, and give one to each family in our group. But minis are so much work, it would have to be fairly straightforward or I’ll never get it done! I keep thinking a 6-pager, one page per family. I could cut chipboard with my nestabilities, bind it with rings, get some cool Halloween paper and just do simple matting and journaling spots. The more I think about it, the more I want to do it!

I’m taking Monday as a vacation day, so I will likely get some scrapping done this weekend. I want to get one more set of ATCs done before I send them off for the swap. I can’t wait to see what I get back! I will post an ATC slideshow soon. I just have to figure out a better slideshow, as the one I have makes the pictures all different sizes. It’s not as nice as some of the other one’s I’ve seen.

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
