I pulled out this old wedding photo which my friend Marie took of Scott holding me in the ocean at Pictou Lodge.  I loved our wedding day, and I love the fact that everyone who attended says the same thing when they think of that day: it was one of the most fun weddings they have been to!

I think one of the keys to scrapbooking wedding photos is to kick back and relax and not think of it as an “important” picture to scrap.  I say this as if I have tonnes of experience scrapping wedding photos, when in fact, this is the first wedding photo I’ve scrapped.  I just put my wedding photos in a plain album using photo corners and called it done.  But now that I have a nice and complete album, I always have the option to reprint some of them (they were taken on film) and just play around.  I knew if I ended up hating this layout, I could always reprint this photo, which happens to be my very favourite photo of the big day.

My all time favourite Thickers (Goodness) had to make an appearance on this layout!

I wanted this layout to have the same mood as my wedding: light, airy, and relaxed.  So I chose a neutral base, light, watery colours, and lots of layers.

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
