I am still waiting on my June Scraptastic kit club kit so I pulled out my May kit to see if there was anything I really wanted to get onto a layout before the new kit comes.  I disassemble my kits as soon as the new one arrives, putting all the leftovers into my regular stash to draw upon in the future, as needed.
I noticed I hadn’t used the yellow Basic Grey alpha stickers at all (there were lots of letters in these kits!), and I still had a fairly large piece of the Lily Bee Design Marshmellow paper, which I definitely wanted to use.  I also had some Origrami prints (check them out here, and my review of them here) of my daughter’s first lost tooth, so I set about using all these items on a layout.

Sometimes less is more

I added the gold star clip from my stash and used Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine splatters.  Then of course I added gold thread sewn over the letter stickers.  The October Afternoon Mini Market letter stickers are also from my own stash.  I really got a lot of use from the pink Goodness Thickers that came in the kit and there are plenty left of all the letters- I love Thickers!

I painted the chipboard feathers in the kit with white paint and pink Smooch ink then attached a bow from the twine in the kit.

I was happy I got one more layout in before my June kit arrives.  I ordered the Carry On kit and Add-On and can’t wait to get my hot little hands on it!!

And here is the process for this one:

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
