I came across some older photos from when my older daughter (now going into grade 2) was in grade primary.  Although I wasn’t present for this field trip, I thought it was important to document it.

Fun photos from the field trip!  (oops, the photo of this layout is a little dark!)

I used the Summer of ’69 kit from Studio Calico for this layout.  I love the colours in this kit, and they picked up the colours in the kids’ clothes perfectly!

Yellow bakers twine connects the 2 parts of the title.

I thought the Studio Calico “potty people” were a cute addition to this layout.  The process video for this layout is at the end of the post.

There was a third picture that I wanted to document at the same time (because it includes all the kids in her class as well as the EPAs and her teacher), but it didn’t fit with the other pics of the smaller group, so I made a coordinating second page.  I don’t consider this a 2-page layout because each page stands on its own, but the pages will face each other in my scrapbook.

For this layout I used another piece of the same background paper (but I used the b-side) and scraps from the first layout.

These layers came together quickly, probably because they were scraps and you could only put them together in so many ways.

And here is the process vid for both layouts:

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
