Here is the second layout I made using the Serendipity collection for Scrapbook Supplies Online. I had the Serendipity paper pad, the small alphabet stickers, the cardstock stickers, and a package of pins and tags. I added some silver and grey letter stickers, washi tape, twine, a scrap of velum, a recycled glassine bag, and some stamps from my own stash to make this one complete:
Everything is kind of bluish around dusk, and with the water and sky in the background, and all the blues and greys in Marie Antoinette’s costume, this instagram pic isn’t much different than my memory for the actual event. I wanted to pic up on the blues in the photo but not match them exactly (or the whole photo would get lost in the layout) so the greenish blue in this collection was perfect for this photo.
A cluster of tags from the collection brings more colour and interest to this corner
All these papers look so yummy layered together!
I cut this medallion flower from another piece of the patterned paper to create an embellishment
I hand cut one of the papers to create my own tag with hidden journalling.
You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
