I’m in Tantallon, Nova Scotia, trying to live my best life with my husband, two teenaged daughters, and 4 cats. I practice psychology at a medium-sized private practice which I co-own along with my amazing business partner, and I am in love with all things crafty, although I try to limit myself to mostly papercrafting. I have a YouTube channel where I share my scrapbooking adventures, and am known as the pioneer of the scrapbooking process video! Here’s what I’m up to now:
- Teaching myself to type (slowly but surely)
- Creating scrapbooking process videos, kit unboxings, scraproom organisational videos, and more
- Growing my Patreon community- my patrons are known as Tiaras, and we have Livestreams and Zoom PJ parties every month!
- Building a Second Brain using Notion, which I am also teaching myself as I go
- I’ve transitioned to 100% digital planning and task management, which was a scary thing for this analog gal! As an ADHDer, it will be interesting to see how this goes, but so far, it’s been life-changing. Time will tell if it’s long-lasting. Update: January 2023, I’ve now landed on digital task-management and a paper planner. Always evolving!
- Gradually reoganising my scraproom/home office to better meet my varied needs.
- Developing virtual psychotherapy and treatment plans and resources
- Enthusiastic member of a small movie club group
- Preparing for an international student who is joining our family in September. We’ve hosted many students over the years, and have really missed it the past few years when the program was paused due to Covid. We have a small home renovation project to do before her arrival (complete a bathroom in our basement, and paint her room). Update: we are having so much fun!
- Planning a road trip to Ontario and beyond this summer- update: this was fun and we went to NYC as well!
- Aiming to exercise 3 times per week
These are my priorities now:
- Continue to be creative every week, and strive for balance between the technical aspects of YouTubing, the creative process of scrapping, and the home and work aspects of my life
- Be more intentional about where I focus my attention (less social media, more reading and projects that enhance wellness in myself or my family)
- Budget more wisely to save money and pay off debt
- Physical and mental wellness: go outside as much as possible, exercise more to build stamina for when we travel, make healthier nutritional choices. Small changes add up
- Bring some order to our home, and then maintain it
