Look what else I made this weekend using scraps and left-overs!

I’ve seen several YouTube videos showing how to make this month-by-month card organiser, so I finally decided to try it myself. This is part of my “use up as much of my old paper as possible before allowing myself to buy more” challenge. I had an old stack of Amy Butler designer paper from K and Company which I love but I’ve used it a lot and am just plain old tired of it. The pages that were left were all the larger wallpaper-like pages. The patters are too large to make cards from, so they were perfect for this project. Here are most of the supplies I used for this project:

The only thing missing from the picture is redline (or Terrifically Tacky) tape, paper trimmer, a scoreboard and bone folder, and chipboard for the cover (I used a shoe box). The stamps I used are Fancy Pants Create a Calendar. There are lots of videos on YouTube showing how to make this book, so I won’t do a tutorial here, but I added a scalloped edge to my pockets, and also added tabs (using my Stampin Up punch) with the months on them. My book has 16 pocket-pages, one for each month of the year, and 4 for misc. cards. I printed up lists of the days of the month (without days of the week so it is perpetual) where I can mark in people’s birthdays and anniversaries. This way I can make up cards ahead of time, store them in the pockets and know when I need to send them out. Here are some more pics:
