Thought I would post a couple of layouts I created with The Best Day of my Life kit from Scraptastic.
This first one is not my favourite, and I talk about a few problems with it in my video (further down on this post).
In addition to the awkward placement of the tag sticker (and the fact that I’m not a huge fan of fake tags) and the fact that the white bokeh paper looks like plain white paper, I also dislike how the 2 cut apart tags overlap each other on the right side of the layout (the map paper and the white bokeh paper).
I’m not saying that in an overly critical way, but I find it helpful when I’m not happy with a layout to spend a bit of time reflecting on what doesn’t work for me. I think that’s part of how I’ve evolved into having my own style of scrapping- doing more of the things I real like on my layouts, and (trying to) do less of the things I don’t like about my layouts.
But I must say, I do love those bows!
and I love how the camera is see through! |
And typing makes any layout look better IMO |
Here is the process video where I talk in more detail about how this layout came together:
I misted that doily in Mister Hueys Taxi and it was the perfect pop of colour to mat the B&W photo!
The title of the movie is “Mamma Mia” but I simply didn’t have enough M’s for that to work, so I just went with the misspelled version.
Here is the process video for this one:
