On the 13th and 14th of June my sister and her son were in town and we got to spend a day together. We went to our local scrapbooking store and picked up a few goodies, went to the library, and hung out at home together. It was great fun, and along the way, we snapped these photos of each other and challenged one another to scrap the same photos, each using the supplies we bought that day.
I fell in love with that background paper with the sunburst pattern and clouds, from the Basic Grey What’s Up collection.
I put my transparent journalling strips (made with an embossing label maker) on the rays for a subtle effect and put small clusters of embellishments around each one to draw the attention to the journalling. The journalling strips contrast our 2 very different personalities.
Embellishments include Studio Calico butterflies, Glitz Designs giant rhinestones, Crate Paper stickers, sequins, Evalicious goodies, and a Prima canvas butterfly, sprayed with Jingle Bells Glimmer Mist.
