Although I do mixed media and I scrapbook, I very rarely combine the two… but today I wanted to play a bit, so I created a drippy water coloured background paper for my layout using Gelatos and a plain piece of white card stock:

The background was so much fun to create!  Check out the YouTube Video at the end of this post to see how I made it.

I had a lot of fun sticking little die cuts from the kit all around the layers of paper.  I made the photo black and white to it would stand out amongst all the colours I knew would be on this layout.

I layered stamps, washi tape, stickers, and die cuts to add interest around the photo:

I used letter stickers from the kit and from a previous kit to create the title:

I purposely left the top of the page white, but I placed a small cluster of elements from the main layers up at the top so it didn’t look like I forgot about the top!

This was a fun way to spend my Sunday morning!  Be sure to check out my video if you’d like to see my process for this page.

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
