Here is a layout I did this morning using Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer line of papers. I used a sketch from a few weeks ago at Sketchy Thursdays. I also used Crate Paper borders and some buttons from my stash.
I cut the pennant banner out from a piece of the paper and then distressed the edges of each piece with matching Distress Ink (Spiced Marmelade, Bundled Sage, Shabby Shutters, Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw). I LOVE having lots of colours of Distress ink on hand! It took me a few years, but I finally have all the colours I could ever need (for this week, anyhow).
On the banner I used my handy dandy 1/16 inch circle punch from Stampin’ Up! and Bakers Twine from SU as well.
Photos are of my daughter Sophie, taken at a pool party on Sunday. She’s so serious, it totally cracks me up (which makes her very mad- but I can’t help it… someday she’ll understand)!
