It’s been awhile since I’ve shared one of my favourite scrappy supplies, but don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten this semi-regular blog series!  Here is my pic for this time around:

This sketchbook is my go-to source of sketches

The Creative Scrappers: Creating with Sketches (Vol. 2) book is packed full of inspiration and ideas for layouts.  It includes 125 sketches and lots of design team inspiration to go along with many of them.  In the video below I talk about when I use sketches and how I use them, so I won’t go into those details here.  I also flip through the book a little and show you how it’s laid out, as well as an example of a recent layout I created using a sketch from this book.

The video also gives you some details on an exciting giveaway!  All you have to do is comment on my video, or here on this blog post about how you use sketches in your own creative process, or how or why you’d like to try sketches, and I’ll enter you into a draw to win a printed copy of one of these fabulous sketch books!  I’ll pick a winner one week from today using a random number generator so be sure to get your comment in by midnight EST on Thursday April 24, 2014.

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
