Between all the events of the holidays and having the stomach flu, I managed to get a few layouts done. I’d been going through layout withdrawal, so these came at just the right time!
All these were done with the Scarlet Lime December 2010 kit.

Here’s the first layout I did:
Moncton 2 Halifax |
I had fun using multiple fonts for the title in this one, and included a lot of journalling on the left side. I used American Crafts cardstock for the background and papers from the kit. The only other things not from the kit are the Thickers used for “Moncton,”,”Halifax” and “hrs” and the Basic Grey letter stickers for “in.”
The pipe-cleaner flowers are by Basic Grey, and are called Cozy Posies. I LOVE them- they are sooo soft!!! These ones are from the Max and Whiskers collection, but I will have my eye out for other sets of them, or I might even make some of my own!
The next layout I did was a lift from the Scarlet Lime inspiration gallery. I copied the background paper and 2 circles, and then put my own twist on it. I like to fit multiple pictures onto a layout and I find not matting the photos makes it easier to clump them together in your design (they also take up less space when not matted!). I usually pop dot one photo to make it stand out from the rest.
Look at that gorgeous ribbon! I’m gonna miss my Scarlet Lime kits… they came with so many pretties!
The last layout is of our holiday photo by the tree.
This one was fun to make and i used a lot of my own stash as well as some from the kit. I Glimmer Misted the Maya Road chipboard flourishes in Key Lime and a red colour (for the flower buds on the flourishes). Chipboard really soaks up Glimmer Mist so you have to really soak it for the colour to stay rich. Flowers are Prima with Making Memories pearl centres.
