The crazy title for this layout came about serendipidously.  I knew I wanted to stitch the letters NYC, and probably put something like “I love” above it.  But when I saw the “Hello, my name is…” card on the Dear Lizzy cut-apart paper, I thought a confession/title would be kinda cute.  The photo on this layout is the last of my Absolutely-Must-Scrap Photos from my September 2012 trip to NYC (I am optimistically referring to my NYC trip by month and year, on the assumption that I will be going multiple times in my life).  Since I am returning later this month, I thought I better get this one scrapped!  It doesn’t really have a story to go with it.  I just thought the flower stand was really pretty.

It was fun to combine the various die cut and cut apart pieces that came in this kit!

I used an Amy Tangerine stitching template to stitch the letters on the tag using twine that came in the kit.  I made a little mistake with the “Y” but I think it still looks really fun.

Here’s how it all came together:

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
