Here is a layout I did a few days ago using up some stash (again):
Bringing Joy 26 Days and Counting |
I really love making title-dominant layouts! My main goal for this layout was to use up some left over Making memories stickers (from the 5th Avenue collection) and to use the grey script paper (came in a Scarlet Lime kit). The journalling sticker behind the 26 and all of the border strips were from the MM sticker sheet. The cream and black floral paper is the back side of the script paper (wish I knew the line- I’d love to get more!). I used 2 kinds of Thickers and 2 kinds of Making Memories ledger stickers, and some Basic Grey letters (perhaps from the Lime Rickey collection??). Added a piece of American Crafts cardstock and some Hero Arts bling and called it a day!
Thicker-y goodness!! |
Until I added the bling there were no embellishments at all on the page!!!!
I’ve been sick with a head cold for the past few days but late this afternoon I started feeling back to normal, so I headed down to my scraproom to make a thank you card for Scott’s aunt Phee who made the girls a pair of pyjamas out of a flannelette fabric that had puppies that looked a lot like Charlie. They were so cute and it was so thoughtful of her, I had to do something in return. Here is what I came up with:
Dog TY card for Phee (5.25X5.25 inches) |
I used the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers collection, which I love! Another one of my 1/2 and 1/2 cards- lazy, I know but I’m just not good at coming up with unique cards. I used my oval and scallop oval nestabilities to cut the orange piece from a scrap and the cream piece from a file folder. I sponged the edges in frayed burlap distress ink. Thanks sentiment is from a Hero Arts sentiment set and I stamped it in Stampin Up! Dusty Durango (glad I snatched that colour up before it retired!). I couldn’t find a dog sticker or embellishment so I made this dog from the Zooballoo cricut cartridge. I cut him at 2.9 inches (but he’s just under 2 inches real size). Added googly eyes and a tiny shiny black bling for a nose, and she’s done. I didn’t line the edges of this one in marker and it looks kinda plain to me, but I figured I’d try it plain for a change.
Here’s the inside before my daughters wrote their adorable messages (wish I had taken the pic after they signed it!):
I usually make my cards in pairs or sets of 4, but this one is one of a kind, just like Phee!
