Lately I’ve found myself in a bit of a rut, not in that I don’t feel creative enough to scrap, but in that I often end up with layouts that look very similar to one another. One way that I get out of a scrapping rut, is to use sketches. There are sketches all over the place online, and the Scraptastic Club has a sketch challenge each month, but my go-to source for sketches is this book:

I love this sketch book (in hard copy) |
If you would like to purchase this sketchbook from Creative Scrappers I’ve got good news for you! Kristine Davidson is offering my YouTube followers and blog readers $2 off their purchase by using the code traceyb2 when ordering. Thanks so much Kristine!
Today’s layout was based upon a sketch from Creative Scrappers: Creating with Sketches Vol.2. Here is the sketch, which is found on page 10:

I’ll explain the title in the process video below! |
Below you will find my process video for this layout, but first, here are a few closeups of the details of the page:

If an embellishment does’t fit with your page, feel free to alter it! I added black outlining to this Ormolu flair badge. |

I also altered this globe embellishment, but made it look altered on purpose |

Journalling in a 0.005 point pen so I could fit lots in a small space without it looking crowded. |
