Boy in a Bin 12 X 12 layout |
This layout features the always adorable Rian, who is a friend of our family. Although there was a playroom full of amazing toys, Rian couldn’t get enough of this empty toy bin! This was taken at our neighbours’ annual New Years Eve curry party, held in the afternoon/evening so the kids can participate. We had a count-down with kid-friendly “champaign” at around 8pm, then we all went home and tucked our kids in bed well before midnight!
I started with a piece of Stampin’ Up! grid paper (from their Tickets and Tags scrapbooking set) as my background paper. I stamped some kraft-coloured paint onto the paper with large bubble-wrap, then sprayed and splattered some white and kraft paint. Then I layered a bunch of October Afternoon papers (front he Fly a Kite and Farmhouse collections). Each piece was outlined with marker and distressed around the edges, then crinkled up a bit. I added a few stickers front he October Afternoon Farmhouse collection, some of them pop-dotted. Scalloped a few pieces of the paper. I added an entire set of Stampin’ Up grommets, and letters by Thickers and Cosmo Cricket. I added distress ink (antique linen) around the edge of the background paper to warm it up a bit (the greys made it a bit too cool for the other papers).
