I am determined to use up as much of my current paper stash as possible before buying new paper… and I’m DYING to buy new paper.  Holing off for a few more weeks, though, so I should be able to get a few more projects in.  I finally got around to doing a layout of Charlie, our new dog (well, he was new when the photos were taken back in July!!!).  I used the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers collection, although I don;t have the collection- I just bought the 6X6 pad and 2 pieces of 12X12 paper, including the cardstock sticker elements.

New Addition (Charlie)

As usual click on the photo to get a closer view, and click again to zoom in even more.  I distressed the edges a lot using my Distrezz it all, to make the pages look like Charlie had gotten hold of them.  I hand cut some of the elements from the paper, and layered them with the photos and the journalling stickers.  The plastic dog themed buttons were given to me by my mother.  I put a couple of red brads to pick up on the red in the paper clips and fire hydrant.  Then I journalled all around the perimeter of the main elements of the layout.

Today I got some cards done using papers from my stash.

Cards I made today

I used some Valentines day paper from a K and Company mixed holidays stack, but I used it to make birthday cards rather than Valentines.  My daughters are attending a birthday party for one of their friends and I wanted to make a really girly card for the birthday girl.  It ended up being a bit more grown up than I originally intended, so I might have to make another one tomorrow, but here it is:

Balloon Bday Card (A2)

I used stamps from the Everyday Button Bits stamp set from Papertrey Ink and 3 different Nesabilities dies. Here is the inside:

I liked this card so much I made 3 others:

I’ve also been wanting to try a lift of one of Kristina Werner’s cards so here are some photos of those (not my own design):

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
