Although I usually scrap only current photos, I occasionally go back and scrap a few of my favourite oldies that got missed along the way. This one is from our honeymoon in 2003, long before I started scrapbooking!
Scrapping an old photo with Elmwood Park kit |
I used mostly my Elmwood Park kit and Monkey Bars add on (Studio Calico July) for this one, but the chevron and red doily papers are from Simple Stories (Summer Fresh collection). The Happy embellishment is also from my stash (My Mind’s Eye).
I sprayed the wood veneer stars with Mister Hueys in water cooler, and they look great with the MME chipboard piece! |
Honeymoon tab cut using an MFT die, from Basic Grey paper (PB&J collection) |
The wood veneer people are sprayed with warm calico Mister Hueys to help them stand out from the stars. I LOVE that Heart in the Dark font from Cosmo cricket!
UR the right type 4 Me! |
The little cluster at the bottom is my favourite part of this layout! I pieced the chevron pattern together using off-cuts from the hot air balloon from my up up and away layout then placed some tiny letter stickers from Pink Paislee and a flag from the Little Flyers that came with the kit. Topped it off with some wood veneers for dimension, and we’re good to go! This is one of my favourite layouts in the last while. Although this isn’t the most flattering photo from our vacation, it really captures the spirit of the vacation and how much fun we had.
There is no process video for this layout, but I will share it in my “Out with the old, in with the new” studio calico kit video. I’ll post a link here when it uploads.
