This week I scrapped a layout of the sun coming up at the end of our street using the Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic collection and bits from the Studio Calico Block Party kit and other goodies from my stash.
Wood veneer arrows become houses for this layout
I backed this Lawn Fawn wood veneer arrow with vellum and drew on a door and windows
I also pulled apart the fibres in the blue string included in this month’s SC kit and balled pieces up to use behind some embellishments.
I ran the heart wood veneers lightly over a red ink pad
I used yellow Nikki Rikki Thickers for the word “sun” and Fancy Thickers for the rest of the title
The typewriter was part of the background paper, so I added a few things for dimension
I’m still taking pics with my iphone, so these are not the greatest. Hopefully the studio will be back in shape next week!
You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
