Over the past few months, Scottie has taken up photography, so I now have all these neat photos that he has taken while learning different aspects of the art. Today I decided to quickly scrap a cool photo that’s been laying around my scraproom for a few days. This is Livie looking through a periscope at one of our neighbourhood playgrounds. Her eye is perfectly crisp!
I used the “Sphere” paper from Basic Grey’s Basic White collection as a background paper, upon which I splattered paint (Making Memories Capri and Lagoon, KaiserKraft Yellow). I rounded the corners on the photo and matted it on a black square and pop dotted it for dimension. The title is done with a mishmash of letter stickers (Cosmo Cricket Extra Extra, Thickers Shoe Box, Glitzy Vintage alpha stickers, and Sassafras Alpha Token Blue). I plopped on the resin butterfly, which was a left over from a Scarlet Lime kit, and the round disc beads (from the jewelry section of Michael’s). The strip of patterned paper at the bottom is from the Sassafras Amplify collection, and I had intended to use a lot more of it, but ended up going minimal due to the busy-ness of the title. I distressed and lined the edges with a superfine marker and that was it. In retrospect I don’t think it needed the little cluster at the bottom, but it looks ok with it. Here is a closeup:
