This is my second day off with a cold.  Thank goodness it’s not the flu, but I still don’t want to spread my germs around.  So when I’m home all day of course I’m all over the scrappy websites and get all kinds of inspiration but I have no energy to scrap.  So last night I got a burst of energy after supper and decided to just cut some ATC blanks (just plain cardstock).  My trimmer was already out so I just picked out 2 random pieces of cardstock and decided to chop it all up into ATC cards so the next time i had energy to scrap, it would be there.  When I was done that I sat down and watched the new gerbils for a bit.

But I still had some energy,  so I got my cuttle bug bag and took it to the kitchen counter (so I could monitor the cats around the gerbils) and took another piece of cardstock and made a bunch of topnote shapes (all one size) from my Nestabilities Note 1 dies.  I had some prestamped images on transparency paper from another time, so after I finished with the nestabilities (it only took about 5 minutes to cut and emboss the whole 12X12 cardstock), I grabbed those transparencies, some markers, stickles, and headed for the couch.  My energy was fading after a whopping 15 minutes of standing.

I sat there and while watching TV (and occasionally shooing the cat) I managed to colour and stickle 8 of those prestamped images!  It might sound obvious that you can do things like colouring and stickling while watching TV, but I had never even thought about taking my scrappy supplies out of their home in the dining room.   Duh?!

But the really cool thing is that when I looked at the topnote shapes (which I doodled while sitting on the couch too), the ATC blanks, and the stamped images, they all coordinated and were the right size for one another.  So now all I have to do is glue them all together and I have another batch of ATCs!

Gotta love accidental scrapping!

Mercy Tiara

Mercy Tiara

You may be wondering who is Mercy Tiara, and why the name? MercyTiara is an anagram of my first and middle names, Tracy Marie. I discovered this name in the 90's in grad school when we were all coming up with alter egos for one another in a lab one day. I've used it ever since, but you can call me Tracy or MercyTiara, or anything you want... just don't call me late for supper!
