I’ve been meaning to make one of these “slanty” layouts using a less-than-90-degree line to divdd two papers, and today I got my chance. I love the green and blue card stock in the Scraptastic Summer Nights kit, and I really wanted to use them together on a layout:
I stitched lines across the page to further emphasize the “slantiness” of the layout and used the lines to anchor a variety of random die cuts, stickers, and brads from the Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine collection. I love how bright and cheerful they look.
I used the letter stickers from the kit (also from the Good Day Sunshine collection) to spell out Canada Day beside my photo, and added tile number stickers from a previous kit.
The sun die cut also came in the kit, and here I misted it with both Taxi and Custard Mister Hueys.
I love how the embellishments appear to be marching across the page. Although I love layering, every once in awhile I like to create one of these pages where everything is laid out without touching so you can really appreciate the colours and shapes of everything.
